Community Pharmacy Training Center Plan
Vision:.
Community Pharmacy Training Center (CPTC) was established to enhancing the skills and knowledge of pharmacy students and professionals, contributing to the improvement of the community, the healthcare system, and the country.
Objectives:
1. Enhanced Pharmacy Skills: To improve participants’ practical pharmacy skills, including medication dispensing, patient counseling, and pharmaceutical care delivery.
2. Interprofessional Collaboration: To foster collaboration among participants and other healthcare professionals, emphasizing the importance of a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
3. Community Engagement: To promote active participation in community health initiatives, such as health screenings, education campaigns, and public health events.
Components:
1. Theoretical Sessions: Covering topics such as pharmacy practice guidelines, pharmaceutical care, healthcare policies, and ethics.
2. Practical Training: Hands-on experience in Hikaya Pharmacy branches, where participants will apply their knowledge in real-world settings.
3. Case Studies: Analyzing and discussing real-life patient cases to improve problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills.
4. Community Projects: Participants will engage in community health projects, such as health education seminars or vaccination drives.
5. Assessment and Certification: Regular assessments and a final evaluation to ensure participants have met the program’s learning objectives. A certificate of completion will be awarded.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
1. Regular Progress Reports: Participants will submit weekly progress reports detailing their activities and learning experiences.
2. Feedback Mechanism: Regular feedback from participants will be collected to continually improve the program.
3. Post-Training Follow-up: Alumni will be tracked to assess the long-term impact of the training on their careers and community involvement.
Duration:
Training will be into 3 phases:
Phase 1 (March-May)
Phase 2 (July-Sep)
Phase 3 (Oct-Jan)
Prerequisites for Acceptance:
•Enrollment in the third year of a pharmacy school or higher.
•Payment of a 50 JD (Jordanian Dinar) registration fee.
